On-board converter for environmentally friendly freight transport

Railrelease, a European freight wagon leasing company, has equipped a container wagon with a multi-voltage on-board converter from Dinghan SMART. This solution makes it possible to supply temperature-controlled transports across Europe directly from the train line. The use of diesel generators for energy supply is thus avoided. This is an important step towards making the transport of goods by rail even more environmentally friendly and competitive.
